Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actress. After her first small part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) and then went on to portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody started modeling after being invited by an experienced photographer. This led to an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody strictly avoided glamour, nudity and thongs during her modeling career. After catching the eye of the director of casting in an upcoming James Bond movie, she was cast of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud called The Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood, Doody became a star. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody was away from acting for almost 10 years, returned in 2003 to play a small role of her role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her as a character at the ceremony for awards. She played alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 television movie adaptation to King Solomon's Mines and also appeared in a short film called Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet on the Holocaust as well as in the British TV program Waking the Dead (in a two-part series named. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). She later guest starred in the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project ended up being cancelled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way.
