Kelly Nash was born in Davie, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. Kelly Nash spent her childhood boating and fishing alongside her father Ed Nash. Kaitlyn Nash and Carolyn Nash are her two sisters. Kelly Nash is from the English, Irish and Swedish ethnic groups. Her grandfather was born in Portugal and immigrated to the United States.



 Kelly Nash was a huge fan of the Miami Marlins since she was young. Although Nash had a passion for sports since a young age, she always thought she would be a news anchor. In 2006, Kelly Nash graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication as well as Media Studies. Then, she completed her studies at Clemson with Master's degree in Youth Development Leadership in 2009. As a condition of covering their soccer and baseball teams during the Sports information Department career, she received an athletic scholarship that was full-time through the Clemson Academic Department.



 Kelly Nash, a MLB Network studio host, is featured on multiple shows which include Quick Pitch, the nightly highlights show. She is also an NHL Network Studio host. She is a guest on the Nightly Game recap show, On The Fly. The NHL Network hired her to join the MLB Network in March 2015. In 2015 she began her contribution to the NHL Network.
